On December 28, 2022, it was my pleasure to speak at the International Seminar titled “India - Vietnam Economic Exchanges: Opportunities and Challenges.” The event was organized by a prestigious cohort including the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Indian Embassy, the Vietnam-India Friendship Association (HAVIFA), and the Indian Chambers of Commerce (INCHAM).

The Kaleidoscope of Digital Economy

My presentation, “Kaleidoscope of Digital Economy - Investment in Digital Transformation,” highlighted the opportunities and obstacles at both organizational and national levels, covering various industrial use cases and suggesting policies to promote digital investments and partnerships between the two countries.

At Acuitology, we view this transformation as a move beyond mere automation toward a complete reimagining of the economic engine. The core of my presentation focused on the evolution of the economic landscape:

  • Labor-Market Driven: Moving away from traditional growth models based solely on human capital availability.
  • Productivity Driven: Implementing technologies like RPA, IoT, and Edge Computing to optimize existing industrial outputs.
  • Knowledge Driven: The final stage of the kaleidoscope, where AI, Blockchain, and Advanced Analytics turn data into the primary driver of national wealth.

Shaping National Policy

It was a distinct honor for Acuitology to present these insights at the national level. Engaging with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics provided a platform to help shape the policy and strategic direction of digital infrastructure and investment.

By contributing to this discourse alongside ambassadors and ministry delegates, we are helping build the roadmap for responsible digital investment that fosters long-term partnerships between India and Vietnam.

Reflections

This seminar was more than an exchange of ideas; it was a collaborative effort to define the standards of a Smart City future. My vision for this “Kaleidoscope” encompasses an integrated view of society where Smart Factories and Smart Farming are not siloed industries, but interconnected nodes within a unified national digital economy.

Participating in such high-level strategic knowledge exchange ensures that the technical prototypes we build at the Lab are designed for a future that is inclusive, resilient, and fundamentally knowledge-driven.

“Digital transformation is a kaleidoscope of shifting challenges; mastering it requires a strategic alignment of national policy and private sector investment to unlock the strategic opportunities within the regional digital economy.”
